Bringing Eden With You

Scripture: John 14:26-27

Many people think salvation is only about getting us to heaven someday.

But throughout Scripture, God is also restoring His presence within His people right now.

Jesus told His disciples He would send the Holy Spirit—the Advocate who would remain with them and bring His peace.

That means home is no longer merely a location.Home is the presence of God dwelling within you.

Think about that.

Even in difficult places…Even in stressful seasons…Even in ordinary routines…The Spirit of God is with you.

That changes how we live.

Jeremiah told the exiles to build homes, plant gardens, raise families, and seek the peace of the city where they lived. Why? Because God’s people were meant to carry His presence wherever they went.

Maybe part of following Jesus is realizing He’s not just leading us back to Eden—He’s forming Eden within us so we can bring His life into the world around us.

You carry peace into anxious spaces.Grace into harsh spaces.Hope into hopeless spaces.Light into dark spaces.

The Holy Spirit transforms ordinary people into living reminders that God has not abandoned this world.

And the condition of your heart matters because whatever fills your heart eventually spills into the lives of others.

So slow down today.

Talk to God honestly.Listen for His voice.Make room for people.Walk in peace.Practice kindness.Carry hope.

You may feel “not at home” sometimes in this world—but through Jesus, you are never abandoned.

Reflection Question:

What would it look like for you to bring the peace and presence of Jesus into the spaces you enter this week?
