Transitions often expose loneliness.

Starting over can feel awkward and vulnerable. Many people are quietly wondering:

  • “Will I belong here?”

  • “Will anyone notice me?”

  • “Will anyone care?”

One of the most powerful ways we combat loneliness is simple.

Do for others what you wish someone would do for you.

Invite someone.

Text someone.

Sit with someone.

Notice someone.

Make room at the table.

The Kingdom of God becomes visible through ordinary acts of compassion.

At CF Paris, we’ve seen this happen again and again.

One couple shared how difficult it initially felt to connect in a larger church environment. But instead of withdrawing, they stepped into serving and hospitality. They started inviting people into their home, grabbing coffee, joining groups, and intentionally building relationships.

Little by little, friendships formed. Community developed. Belonging grew.

Real belonging is formed, not found.

Next time you feel alone ask yourself, "What am I doing to help other not feel alone?"
