Quitting Isn’t the Goal

Scripture: Galatians 6:2
Our culture is very comfortable with cutting people off.
If it’s hard… leave.
If it’s awkward… withdraw.
If it takes work… replace.
But the Gospel paints a different picture.
Jesus didn’t quit on us when we were difficult. He didn’t walk away when we were inconsistent. He stayed. He pursued. He paid the price for restoration.
That’s why healthy relationships shift the goal from “being right” to “staying connected.”
This doesn’t mean we ignore wisdom or healthy boundaries. It does mean we resist the reflex to abandon people the moment tension appears.
Strong relationships are not conflict-free. They are conflict-resilient.
They are built by people who decide:
We quit problems.
We quit pride.
We quit unhealthy patterns.
But we don’t quit each other lightly.
Today, reflect honestly: Have I been too
The Gospel empowers us to stay engaged longer than our flesh naturally would.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for not quitting on me. Teach me to value relationships the way You do. Give me perseverance rooted in Your love. Amen.
