Not Because You’re Good—But Because He Is

Scripture: Romans 3:23–25

We tend to think of sin as just “bad things we’ve done.” But it’s deeper than that.

Sin is choosing our way over God’s way.

And if we’re honest—we’ve all done that. Every one of us has gone our own direction at some point.

That’s the bad news.

But here’s the good news: God didn’t walk away from us when we walked away from Him.

Instead, He made a way back.

Not because we earned it.

Not because we cleaned ourselves up.

Not because we finally got it together.

But because He is that good.

Jesus became the sacrifice for our sin—not to temporarily cover it, but to completely remove it. His grace doesn’t just deal with your past—it covers your future too.

You don’t have to strive to be “good enough” for God. You never could be.

You just have to receive what Jesus has already done.

Prayer:

Father, thank You that I don’t have to earn Your love. Help me to receive Your grace and walk in the freedom You’ve given me. Amen.
